artist statement

At first, my art practice is a way of recognizing and developing a creative language. It is primordially a visual language, where graphic elements of drawing are accentuated. Drawing is my home. At the same time, my projects are intersectional spaces where different cultures, generations or narratives regularly come together, through participatory experiences of collaboration and community expression.

On another level, my work tends to unfold in a field of inner explorations, both tangible and undetermined, where spiritual, emotional and political elements are naturally converging. It is a field to simultaneously retreat and reconnect with the world in a better way.

At the heart of what I do as an artist, everything is connected to an architecture of belonging. A type of build up in continuous expansion and contraction over experiences of separation, togetherness and radical acceptance, with critical considerations on journeys of displacement and community place making.
